Helen Kate Shapiro (born 28 September 1946) is an English pop singer, jazz singer and actress. She is best known for her 1960s UK chart toppers, "You Don't Know" and "Walkin' Back to Happiness".
Shapiro was born at Bethnal Green Hospital in the East End district of Bethnal Green, London. The Shapiros were formed in 1994 by Bart Cummings and Pam Berry. Despite the band's brief existence--formed on September 7th, 1994 and broken up by the end of the month--they released 4 singles and 2 compilation tracks, all produced by Velocity Girl's Archie Moore.
