Hacı Taşan (1930-1983) was a Turkish musician in the Central Anatolian folk tradition known as bozlak. Born in the Central Anatolian town of Keskin, he learnt to play bağlama and to sing, influenced by Muharrem Ertaş. Taşan found success as the wedding musician in the Abdal tribe, and through his recordings is still well known as one of the most important practitioners of the bozlak tradition of folk singing. .

The Hacienda brothers were an Americana project featuring guitarists Dave Gonzalez, and the band's late vocalist, Chris Gaffney who died of cancer at age 57 in 2008. The group dubbed their music "Western soul". The last album from the group, "Arizona Motel," began its recording sessions in late 2007 at Cavern Recording Studios on Dodge Boulevard in Tucson AZ. .
