JUDY AND MARY were a Japanese multi-genre band known for their innovative punk, rock, and pop meldings of noisy but melodic music in the 1990's. They formed in 1992 when bassist Yoshihito Onda (jp: 恩田快人) met vocalist Yuki Isoya (磯谷有希) in Hakodate, Hokkaido. Much later drummer Kohta Igarashi(五十嵐公太) and guitarist Takuya Asanuma (浅沼拓也) were added to round out the group. In 1992 they released their first indie album, Be Ambitious, with an accompanying video on Chainsaw Records. The Judybats were an "alternative rock" band from Knoxville, Tennessee. They recorded four albums and two singles from 1990 to 1994 and had minor success with a cover of Roky Erickson's "She Lives (In A Time of Her Own)" and their 1993 song "Being Simple". Her best selling album, Woman Blue was recorded in 1965 with accompaniment by two guitarists, Dick Weissman and Artie Traum. In 1966, Woman Blue was released in the United Kingdom and a promotional trip was arranged. Judy Roderick performed at many clubs in UK and also in the Cambridge Folk Festival.
