Back in 2004, Neil Pollock and brothers Huw and David Price started the Spengler project. Since then, they've gone on to work with worked with a number of UK musicians, including Maiya James, Robbie Craig, Max Grunhard and Mark Armstrong. They have been creating music together since earlier this century but their records are only now beginning to find a wider audience through club and radio exposure worldwide. Marcel Fengler's musical influences present themselves double tracked. His early teenager years are stamped by HipHop from crews like NWA, Gang Starr and A Tribe called Quest, who have been his undisputed heroes. Even today, Fengler spins some HipHop, but only in private. His interest in electronic music on the other hand has been inspired by continuous experiences in Berlin based techno clubs like E-Werk in the early 90s.
