Metallica is an American metal band formed in 1981 in Los Angeles, California, United States when drummer Lars Ulrich posted an advertisement in The Recycler. Metallica’s line-up originally consisted of Ulrich, rhythm guitarist and vocalist James Hetfield, and lead guitarist Dave Mustaine. Babymetal (stylized BABYMETAL) is a Japanese idol group trio that was initially formed in 2010 as a subunit of the female idol group Sakura Gakuin (さくら学院). Their concept is a fusion of idol, pop, and Metal.
The band consists of Suzuka Nakamoto 中元すず香 (aka Su-Metal), Moa Kikuchi 菊地最愛 (aka Moametal) and Yui Mizuno 水野由結 (aka Yuimetal). The three girls and their group are managed by the Amuse talent agency.
They first appeared on the debut Sakura Gakuin album, さくら学院 2010年度 〜message〜 performing ド・キ・ド・キ☆モーニング.
