The story of Agent Ribbons has not one, but many, beginnings, and fashioning some semblance of chronology from their cut-and-paste four-year history is an art project in and of itself. Originally hailing from the shanty-Victorian streets of downtown Sacramento, California they now reside in Austin, TX when they aren’t traveling the world and jamming econo. Usually, you’ll experience them as a three piece, but they are also known to keep it simple with the original two-piece guitar, drums and vocals line up. Rosie Ribbons was a finalist on the Reality TV Programme 'Pop Idol', finishing in 6th place despite being an initial favourite to win - much like Pop Idol 2 6th place finalist, Roxanne Cooper. Issues in Rosie's private life affected her performances midway through the competition, and she was eliminated after her Christmas performance failed to win the public over. The eventual winner of the series was Will Young, now one of the UK's lead male vocalists. There are two bands under the moniker of "Ribbons" 1) Ribbons is a new project from multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Jherek Bischoff. He has had one of the more quietly prolific careers in the last decade of independent music.
