Their music is, as they say "Gipsy Disco", with Bavarian lyrics.
The band was formed in 2011 in Chiemgau, Germany.
Their songs "Heidi" and "Zeit fia ois" ("Time for everything") got really popular in the internet in a few months and they have gotten about 200.000 views on Youtube in 6 months. in March 2012 their first album "DJANGO 3000" has been released and entered German charts on rank 85. Their second album has been released in September 2013 and is titled "HOPAAA!" followed by the same-titled tour including many festivals in summer 2014 and a tour in Russia. In January 2015 they've released their third album "bonaparty" featuring a re-recording of "Heidi" (with Kamil on vocals) and a slightly different sound as the title track "Bonaparty" proves. In winter & spring 2015 they had another Germany tour called like their recent album. After concerts in Korea and India they released their new album "Im Sturm" (In the storm) in January 2017 combining the traditional "Django sound" with urban beats and rougher vocals, guitars and lyrics. They also added a keyboardist to their live line-up for that.
They are currently signed at SEVEN DAYS MUSIC.

Django is riding again. Through the Bavarian Puszta. But he's not alone. Four Djangos, four musical brothers in spirit united with the slogan "Mia san mia, mia san Gitanos" ("We're us, we're gitanos") to conquer the blue and white desert (and as soon as possible also the rest of the world) with never heard Bavarian Gypsy-Pop. With "Django like" gypsy music; wild, free, untamed - just like the mane of his loyal horse.

"Django 3000" - that's how the musical strays call themselves and not only host of the radio station Bayern 3 Matuschke calls them his favorites, but also many many clicks on Youtube make it clear: Django 3000 are storming the Bavarian music scene at a gallop on "wild horses" ("wuide Rössa"), with "south wind" ("Südwind") around their legs, "the hair in the wind and the foot on the gas pedal" („de Hor im Wind und an Fuaß am Gas“).

"Heidi" the heroine of their first single, a gullible Bavarian gypsy girl who is eagter for life and whom people only know this: "It's summer when Heidi is here and makes the people dance" ("Summa is, wenn’d Heidi kimmt und de Leit zum Danzn bringt"). And when Django 3000 play their infectious sound in the Desperado disco, then Heidi and all the other "Strizzi" and gypsies dance all night long, even though the campfire does not burn anymore.

Eleven infectious songs have been collected on Django 3000's debut CD, played on guitars, violins, contrabasses and drums. And in every song you can hear "there haven't been many who got around that much" ("so weit umananda, san no ned vui ganga"). From their music journeys they brought bouncy balkan beats, rock 'n' roll songs with heavy guitar and cool gypsy swing with devilish-melodic violin solos. Everything brought forward by the energetic groove of the contrabass and the drums. Without caring about genres or styles the four wild guys more and more came to unknown "areas". "Who knows what you'll miss when you're standing there dreaming!" ("Wer woaß, wosd ois vasamst, wennst steh bleibst und grod dramst!")

You have to imagine the four Djangos as a mix of "Tierpark-Toni" and the really young "Monaco Franze": musical travelers, seeking for adventures, straying through life, a girl here, a girl there. Vegrant, not undangerous, really crazy and devilish charming. But especially: unperfumed like a Gitanes without filter.

Of course the band was named after gypsy legend Django Reinhardt, but also after Django, the lonesome avenger and not but not least after the year 3000. Because he is pioneering, as well as the quaint yet casual Bavarian gypsy sound, the disco csardas, the free state flamenco of Django 3000, which is only known among people who already roasted corncobs at a campfire with the four Djangos and grinded the embers with their feet - barefeet of course.

Tschavos, chaps, they are all together in the Csarda (the tavern) for Csardas (dancing) and to whistle at the Tschajas (the girls). Florian R. Starflinger, the violinist of madness. Like he says, of course no facts are known, he is the only existing owner of a violin made by Italien master luthier Pietro Galozzo from the 18. century and Yehudi-Menuhin-award winner.

Singer and guitarist is Kamil Müller, a "fake Bavarian", who came from Slovakia aged 17 and who was expelled by his host parents. Nevertheless he stayed and after four months his Bavarian skills (but never standard German!) were as good, that he now is the most native among the natives and one of the best fake Bavarians in whole Bavaria.
Also there is the "contrabass Don Giovanni" Michael Fenzl, whose wicked sound "fills" the sound of the Band. Among Strizzis he is known as the "man with the hair", because he looks like a gypsian Leningrad cowboy.
Last but not least there is rhythm gypsy and "air human" Jan-Philipp Wiesmann, from Swabia, drummer, percussionist and probably the only gypsy in the world who cares about the Swabian "Kehrwoche".
