Rick Whispers was about 15 years old he became involved through the independent music scene via new york hardcore and punk music. He began rapping shortly after words, battling, recording pause tapes with his man khil and a crew of upstate musicians called the regiments. After selling demo cassettes out of his backpack for three years he was contacted by a good friend of his who had started an indie hip hop label called butcher productions. Butcher productions run by Sam C. set up recording sessions and funded pressings for an album of a crew who would become known as ANTIDOTE. Rick Whispers linked up with Pitchcontrolmusic and began recording his first solo CD LP titled House of Hearts in early 2003 it was pressed in 2004. After doing spot dates all over the east coast with his crew PCM he began recording Awed by the Backdrop a follow up CDLP which dropped in 06. Along with this record he released a record titled While you Slept a CD EP to accommodate ABTB. Securing global digital distribution as well as physical distro on the west coast, Rick Whispers has shared the stage with acts such as Sean Price, BMS, The Perceptionists, Hangar 18, Awar, Sween, Shyste, Dezmatic, Doomfist, JB, Sev Statik, Ace the Grappler, Death Threat, Shoot to kill, Merauder, Lif, Mr. Len, L.I.F.E. Long, Poison Pen, Diabolic, Icon the mic king, and the list continues. Rick Whispers has also recorded songs with L.I.F.E. Long of the almighty stronghold crew, as well as mac lethal of rhymesayers entertainment. As of right now he has just completed a new project titled The Letters with Rick on spit on Khil on beats which is a good portion "remix" album with some brand new songs on the record, you'll have to see for yourself. Rick has been performing these days with his good friend and long time musician dj turnstyle who also shares a similar upbringing with music as rick. .
