Alphaville ist eine deutsche Synth Pop-Gruppe, die im Jahre 1983 in Münster gegründet und durch Songs wie "Big In Japan" und "Forever Young" weltweit bekannt wurde.
Im Jahre 1981 gründeten Marian Gold und Bernhard Lloyd zusammen mit anderen Musikbegeisterten das Künstlerkollektiv "Nelson Community", mit dem sie im Dezember 1981 ihren ersten Liveaufritt hatten. Ein Jahr später gründeten Gold und Lloyd zusammen mit Frank Mertens die Band "Forever Young" und absolvierten Ende 1982 ihren ersten gemeinsamen und - für ein künftiges Studioprojekt typisch - zugleich letzten Liveauftritt für die nächsten zehn Jahre. 1983 entnahmen die drei Filmbegeisterten den Namen "Alphaville" dem...
