Bonfire ist eine deutsche Hardrock-Band, welche in Ingolstadt unter dem Namen Cacumen gegründet wurde und 1986 in den heutigen Namen Bonfire umbenannt wurde. Cacumen wurde 1972 gegründet. 1978 schließt sich Claus Lessmann der Band an. 1981 wird in der weiteren Besetzung mit Hans Ziller, Horst Meier-Thorn, Hans Hauptmann und Hans Forstner das erste Album mit dem Titel Cacumen veröffentlicht. 1986 wird Cacumen in Bonfire umbenannt und wechselt zur Plattenfirma BMG/RCA.
