Roy Ayers (* 10. September 1940 in Los Angeles als Roy Edward Ayers) ist ein US-amerikanischer Vibraphonist, Sänger, Komponist und Arrangeur. Ayers zählt zu den wichtigsten Vertretern des Jazzfunk.
Durch seine Eltern, der Vater spielte Posaune und die Mutter Klavier, wurde Ayers an die Musik herangeführt. Der Legende nach soll Ayers sein erstes Vibraphon von dem legendären Jazz-Vibraphonist Lionel Hampton im Alter von fünf Jahren geschenkt bekommen haben

Out of Tokyo and featuring members of other major bands in the Tokyo Ska Scene (Rude Bones, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra) this band played traditional ska that was not often heard out of Japan. They have one record available for sale in America, Torrid Rock on King Django's Stubborn Records. The band appears to have broken up in 2002 (it's hard to tell because the website is in Japanese). .
