Clare Bowditch is a a critically acclaimed, ARIA award-winning singer from Melbourne, Victoria. Ditchliquor is a diverse band from Portland, Oregon who combine classic metal with doom, stonerrock, psychadelic, crust, punk and indie rock. Formed in late 2003, the band was formed by Joe Wickstrom (bass, vocals), Shawn Davis (drums, vocals), and Evan Enge (guitar, vocals). In 2004, the group brought in Matt Blair to take over the vocal responsibilities, but that same year they returned to their original power-trio form. The Feeding Set were Clare Bowditch's backing band for her first three solo albums - 2004's Autumn Bone, 2005's What Was Left and 2007's The Moon Looked On. The Melbourne, Australia-based collective consisted of drummer Marty Brown, guitarist Tim Harvey, vocalist/French horn player Libby Chow, bassist Warren Bloomer and guitarist Glen Walker. The Feeding Set played their last shows together in 2008, after which Bowditch disintegrated the group and recorded her fourth album, Modern Day Addiction, under the moniker Clare Bowditch and the New Slang. Brown, Harvey and Bloomer all carried on in the new backing band. .
The name Ditchwater has been around with various line ups, demoing material and playing shows since the mid 90's. In 2002 founding member Mark Anderson (Guitar) and Mike Meadows (vocals) paired up to form the core of the classic line up. They quickly made a name for themselves throughout the Midwest, including headlining gigs at renown Chicago venues Metro, House of Blues and Double Door. The band routinely opened for national acts such as Mudvayne, In This Moment, Soil and Powerman 5000.
