Ximena Sariñana Rivera (born on October 29, 1985 in Guadalajara, Mexico) is a Grammy Award and Latin Grammy nominated Mexican singer-songwriter and actress. Sariñana's musical career was launched in 2008 with the release of her first studio album Mediocre, an adult contemporary pop-rock/vocal jazz album that has been critically acclaimed and nominated for various awards, including two nominations in the Latin Grammy Awards of 2008. Sarina Paris is a Canadian pop vocalist of Italian descent. In 1996, while participating in a project aimed at teaching Italian children to sing in English, she was discovered by a representative of EMI's Italian division, and began her career as a recording artist. Her initial single, Look at Us, did not hit the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, despite its great amount of airplay in 2001. Soon afterward, she released her debut album, Paris*Sarina. SARINA was born in Tokyo and grew up in a musical environment, studying violin and piano since age five. She received formal training at the Toho High School of Music , under the tutelage of renowned japanese violinist Toshiya Eto. After graduating from Toho High School, SARINA was accepted at Berklee College of Music with a large Scholarship. Her studies at Berklee exposed her to a very fertile Jazz and Rock environment.
