A principios del año 1969 Steve Marriott dejó Small Faces y se unió al joven Peter Frampton (líder de The Herd) para fundar Humble Pie, considerado uno de los primeros "supergrupos" por ser unión de dos astros del rock. Junto a Greg Ridley (bajo) y Jerry Shirley (batería) desarrollarían un estilo blues-rock basado en en el blues y el soul americano. Sus grabaciones y conciertos hasta el año 1975 fueron decisivas para la evolución del posterior hard rock y heavy metal. En 1971, Frampton dejaría el grupo para empezar una carrera en solitario y sería sustituido por Dave Clempson.

Humble Beginnings was an American pop punk band from New Jersey. While never gaining large-scale success, many of the band's members went on to mainstream success with other outfits.
Formed in 1996, Humble Beginnings originally consisted of Chris Delvecchio, Joshua Scott-Dicker, and Gabe Saporta. Their first release was a five-song demo cassette tape. At one point Eben D'Amico, former long-time bassist of Saves the Day, served as the band's bassist.
