Geir Henning Braaten (1944) is one of Norway's most active and significant pianists. He studied at the Conservatory of Music under Magne Elvestrand and Nicolai Dirdal until his debut in 1966. Later he studied in Paris for six years under Yvonee Lefebure, in Vienna under Bruno Seidlhofer, and in Spain.
