The Dead Kennedys est un groupe de musique américain, formé en 1978 à San Francisco, Californie, qui est resté un des symboles du punk hardcore. Le groupe se forme suite à une petite annonce rédigée par East Bay Ray à laquelle Jello Biafra repondit. Ils furent rapidement rejoints par le bassiste Klaus Flouride, le batteur Ted et un second guitariste qui devint célèbre sous le nom de 6025. Joyce "Baby Jean" Kennedy was born in Anguilla, MS, in 1948, and raised in Chicago. It's unclear how Andre Williams became her early mentor, but he produced nearly all her early sides on Ran Dee, Fontana, and Blue Rock Records. She notched a local hit with "Darling I Still Love You," which was co-written by Williams. Released in 1963, it received little airplay anywhere else.
