Le groupe Darkest Hour se forme en 1995 en Virginie. A l'origine, il est composé de quatre membres. Ils enregistrent rapidement leur premier CD The Misanthrope pour Death Truck Records en 1996. The Last Hour is the solo project of Roberto Del Vecchio (ex Gothica / Les Jumeaux Discordants). His past is bound up with the name of Gothica, having released two CDs "Night Thoughts" (2000) and "The Cliff of Suicide" (2003) through Swedish Cold Meat Industry label. The Last Hour project was born in 2004 after the Gothica split. The first song composed was "Into Empty Depth" and it appeared on the compilation "Flowers Made of Snow", a Cold Meat Industry sampler (2004).
