Boca Chica plays a brand of music that shifts between lush, string-laden indie folk, quirky and wistful alt-alt country jams, and the occasional beery retro-country romp. Boiled down to its core, Boca Chica is singer/songwriter Hallie Pritts. Pritts' loping, occasionally surreal songs are best compared to other genre-bending artists such Sufjan Stevens, Iron & Wine, and Bright Eyes. Now disbanded, Sal Boca was the alter-ego of Cardiff-based producer Dementio13 with Neil McCann and various collaborators. Dementio13 and co-writer, graphic artist Neil McCann, worked with singer/songwriters Claire James and Caroline Moore to produce atmospheric, dark songs between 1999 and 2002. From early lo-fi and fairly haphazard recordings, through to the cool alternative pop of 'Feel The Life ep'; Sal Boca developed a perculiar folktronic/electro sound. .

Boca Livre is a Brazilian MPB musical group, formed in 1978, in Rio de Janeiro. The first album was released independently in 1979. With its refined style, Boca Livre stands out for its compositions, as well as for versions of other composers' songs. Its instrumental and above all, vocal arrangements escape from the conventional metric used by other groups, through the use of dissonant vocal chords and alternations in the solos.
