THE VOICE Combine the edginess of Pink, the soulful power of Adele, and the magical tone of Sarah Mclaughlin, and you would have the START of describing Susan Calloway… Every great artist has something that sets them apart from the crowd. For Susan, it has always been her undeniable voice. HOW IT STARTED Susan began studying classical piano at age 5, followed by classical voice at age 12, much earlier than most teachers would agree to take on a young singer. She was chosen as the lead in the Broadway musical " Annie" at age 9 but could not join...
Cab Calloway (December 25, 1907–November 18, 1994) was a famous American jazz singer and bandleader. Calloway was a master of energetic scat singing and led one of the United States' most popular African American big bands from the start of the 1930s through the late 1940s. Calloway's Orchestra featured performers that included trumpeters Dizzy Gillespie and Adolphus "Doc" Cheatham, saxophonists Ben Webster and Leon "Chu" Berry, New Orleans guitar ace Danny Barker, and bassist Milt Hinton. Calloway continued to perform right up until his death in 1994 at the age of 86. More at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cab_Calloway .
Calloway was a pop / soul duo / music group comprising Reginald Calloway (born 23 January 1955, Cincinnati, Ohio) and Vincent Calloway (born 5 January 1957, Cincinnati). It is very much worth noting that Calloway's "one-hit" wonder status only came after they had been members and music producers of the very successful 1980's soul ensemble, Midnight Star. Their hits with Midnight Star are numerous including NO PARKING ON THE DANCE FLOOR and HEADLINES, to name only two. The group Midnight Star had several gold and platinum albums...
