Molly Hatchet est un groupe de rock sudiste issu de Jacksonville, en Floride, fondé au début des années 1970 par Danny Joe Brown (chant, harmonica, guitare), Dave Hlubeck, Duane Roland, Steve Holland (guitares), Banner Thomas (basse) et Bruce Crump (batterie).
Jusqu'au retour de Dave Hlubeck dans le groupe en janvier 2005, celui-ci tournait et enregistrait depuis la fin des années 1990 sans aucun membre original. Danny Joe Brown est décédé le 10 mars 2005 et Duane Roland le 19 juin 2006.

Chrome Molly are a metal band, hailing from Leicestershire, United Kingdom. The band formed in 1981 consisting of John Antcliffe and Drummer Chris Green, joined shortly after by Bassist Nic Wastell. The original line up was completed in 1982 by Frontman Steve Hawkins.
1983 saw the release of their first single You Said on Bullet Records, which met with critical acclaim via the music press. Most notably, KERRANG! with Mark Putterford placing the release as single of the week. As a result, the single rose to No.6 in the Heavy Metal charts that year.

Described by Blackmore as “big melodic noise,” Molly McGuire was a hard-working, hard-touring band with major labels knocking at their door. They signed with Epic Records to release their 1996 album Lime (produced by Failure front man Ken Andrews) and toured the ’97 Lollapalooza circuit. But pressure from Epic to stay in the studio and off the road left the band feeling alienated. They left Epic in 1998 and reconfigured as Gunfighter with Blackmore, McGuire guitarist Toby Lawrence, bassist Jimmy Armbrust, and Season to Risk drummer David Smyth.
