The Mohawk Lodge are currently releasing their 4th album, Damaged Goods. It’s their take on punk, and at 30 minutes even, is their rawest, shortest and wildest recording to date. Previous records included their Smog-tinged Rare Birds-’04, Wildfires-’07 (featuring Dan Boeckner Wolf Parade/Handsome Furs), and Crimes ‘10 (featuring Dan Mangan).
Recording was done live off the floor in a sweltering Toronto heatwave with the same Euro-touring band that helped inspire and create the tunes: Eamon McGrath (Julie Doiron), Peter Dreimanis (July Talk), Danny Miles (July Talk), Clay Jones (Huddle) and Scott Freeman (Poorfolk). There are at least two bands named The Lodge. One is a Canadian band lead by Mike O'Neill of The Inbreds.
The other is John Greaves and Peter Blegvad from Henry Cow / Slapp Happy. .

Blacklodge est un groupe de black metal industriel, qui a vu le jour en 1998 en Savoie. Il se distingue du black metal traditionnel par une utilisation intensive de la boîte à rythme et de beats, habituellement réservés à la techno ou à l'electro. Blacklodge se veut sataniste, comme beaucoup de groupes de BM, mais innove là encore en n'utilisant aucun symbole traditionnel de Satan (croix renversées...), qu'il remplace par une esthétique industrielle correspondant à la musique.
