The White Mandingos is a band that consists of Murs, Darryl Jenifer of Bad Brains and Sacha Jenkins SHR. The band's output combines the collective musical experiences of these three men who hail from three distinct towns: Washington DC, Los Angeles and New York City. There are at least four projects called Mandigo. 1- Mandingo is the name of a fake exotica group from the '70s created by studio musicians (Geoff Love & His Orchestra) and producers. Together they mixed African rhythms and percussion with progressive rock, funk and jazz.
