'Blanka' refers to one of the two following: A)Blanka is swedish progressive rock band that became popular in 2002 when their song 'I smell of you' was in the movie Lilya 4-ever made by Lukas Moodysson. They released a self-titled EP in 2003 and the album Paloma Blanka in 2004, both on the Diapazam label. B) Bristol based Hip-Hop producer of the 'Split Prophets' UKHH crew. C) Montreal-based three-piece that trades in an icy, minimal, and eminently danceable variety of post-punk. Members: Christian Conner, Bryce Cloghesy, and Andrew Flegel (brother of Women's Patrick and Matthew Flegel) .

Au début des années 90, Guillaume et Johan Ledoux créent BLANKASS, après avoir mis un terme à l'aventure Zéro De Conduite... Aventure qui leur avait apporté une collection de souvenirs incroyables, un peu de technique, et surtout, l'envie. Il faut dire que partager la scène avec les Clash, Gun-club, ou U2 quand on a douze ans, ça aide un peu à savoir ce qu'on veut faire dans la vie ! Le premier album, "Blankass", sort en 1996, accompagné du single "La couleur des blés", gros succès radio qui les conduira aux victoires de la musique et sur toutes les routes...
