Gayathri (full name Gayathri Krishnan, born May 1 1985) is a Dubai-based musician of Indian origin whose works combine rich, soulful vocals, mournful lyricism, lush acoustics and, sometimes, electronic experimentation. She is inspired by, and can be likened to, Regina Spektor, Beth Rowley and Björk. Having grown up in a musical family, an interest in music was almost inevitable.
