Two-man band from Czechia, born in the heart of Jihlava in 1995. Fusing elements of dark ambient music with tribal and IDM samples and inspired by western civilizations (particularly the Mayan religion) the duo began their public uprising two years later following increasing public performances. Mutabor was founded 1990 and consisted originally of a couple of fellow university students. The style they play is hard to describe because it borrows from lots of different styles such as Rock, Folk, Ska, Reggae, Pop and Punk. Over the years most of the members of Mutabor were replaced by others, leaving only Axel Steinhagen (Vocals, Guitar) and Helen Bauerfeind (Violin, Vocals) from the original crew.
