Gli A Perfect Circle sono un gruppo musicale statunitense alternative rock, formato nel 1996 da Billy Howerdel e Maynard James Keenan (già frontman dei Tool). Maynard scopre alcune composizioni inedite dello stesso Howerdel e gli propone di realizzarle e inciderle. Da qui nasce il progetto A Perfect Circle, simile per intensità e malinconia ai Tool, ma con una componente melodica in più, giusto per deviare un po' dall'accento dark di questi ultimi.
