サラ・ブライトマン（Sarah Brightman, 1960年8月14日 - ）は、イギリスのソプラノ歌手。 ミュージカル「オペラ座の怪人」のオリジナルキャストとして出演して名声を得て、その後フランク・ピーターソンとともに「タイム・トゥ・セイ・グッバイ」、「クエスチョン・オブ・オナー」や「ニュースステーション」のオープニングテーマ曲「サラバンド」など多数のヒット曲を送り出す。 13歳の時にピカデリーシアターの「I and Albert」で劇場デビュー。16歳でダンスグループの「バンズ・ピープル｣の一員となる。18歳の時に「サラ・ブライトマン・アンド・ザ・ホット・ゴシップ（サラ・ブライトマン・アンド・ザ・スターシップ・トゥルーパーズに改名）」として全英チャート最高6位のヒットを放つ。 21歳で、ロンドンのミュージカル「キャッツ」のオリジナルキャストとしてジェミマ役で出演し、その後様々なミュージカルに出演。 1984年、23歳の時にアンドリュー・ロイド・ウェバーと結婚（1990年離婚）。その後クラシック歌唱の練習を始め、1986年開幕のロイド・ウェバーのミュージカル「オペラ座の怪人」のオリジナルキャストとしてクリスティーヌ役で出演し、一躍トップ歌手となる。 1991年にはNHK紅白歌合戦にゲスト出演し、オペラ座の怪人より「ミュージック・オブ・ザ・ナイト」を歌った。 1992年に行われたバルセロナオリンピックではスペインのオペラ歌手ホセ・カレーラスとのデュエットで同五輪のテーマソング『アミーゴス・パラ・シエンプレ - Amigos Para Siempre』を閉会式で見事に歌い上げ、観衆からの拍手の嵐に包まれた。 アルバム『Dive』(1993年)よりフランク・ピーターソン（ブライトマンのボーイフレンドでもある）とのコラボレーションでソロ活動を専心する。中でもアンドレア・ボチェッリとのデュエット「タイム・トゥ・セイ・グッバイ」は1500万枚以上のセールスを記録した。 2007年公開の映画『劇場版ポケットモンスター ダイヤモンド&パール ディアルガVSパルキアVSダークライ』のエンディングテーマを担当。劇場版ポケットモンスターの主題歌を日本人以外が担当するのは彼女が初めてである。同年の世界陸上大阪大会の開会式に出演し、「ランニング」をパフォーマンスした。 .

Papermoon may refer to one of several bands. 1.) Papermoon is a Viennese duo, who had a successful career with quiet music (guitar and vocal), during the 1990s, predominantly in Austria. The project was founded in 1991 by Christof Straub (guitar) and Edina Thalhammer (vocals).
