The Quebecois duo that make up Samarkande, Eric Fillion and Sylvain Lamirande, have a complementary background that moves from classical studies (piano and saxophone) through electroacoustics with diversions into the worlds of jazz and new wave. KINKA began his career as DJ in 1990. He also started creating his music in the late 90's with the other Japanese fellows and they has released as acca, BWALA, KEY OF KNOWLEDGE, MONKA. He has put lots of his pieces out on his unit's albums, singles, remix works and the compilation albums from the the wide-ranging labels from both nationally and internationally until today.
