カンサス(Kansas)は、 アメリカの代表的なプログレッシブ・ロック・バンド。 カンザスではなくカンサスと呼ぶのが日本では一般的である。 日本ではあまり知名度はないが、 イギリス主体のプログレッシヴ・ロックをアメリカ的解釈でポップに消化したサウンドで、 本国やヨーロッパなどでは高い評価を得ている。 アメリカのプログレ、 ことにプログレッシヴ・ハードロックに分類されるバンドとしてはパイオニア的な存在である。 .

1997年、南スオミ州カンタ＝ハメ県ハメーンリンナで結成。 メンバーほぼ全員が、ウォーペイントと呼ばれる赤と黒のペイントを顔に塗っていることやヴァイオリンとアコーディオン奏者を擁した勇壮なメロディで知られている。 2010年にFINLAND FESTとLOUD PARKで2回来日した。 ヴァイオリン担当のオッリ・ヴァンスカは、アイスランド交響楽団やBBCスコティッシュ交響楽団の首席指揮者を歴任し、広島交響楽団や読売日本交響楽団での客演経験がある指揮者オスモ・ヴァンスカの息子である。 .

Amistades Peligrosas was a Spanish band formed in 1989 by singers Alberto Comesaña from Galicia and Cristina del Valle from Asturias. Their music blended two Spanish Music types such as Celtic and Arab which is part of Spanish history and culture. Bagpipes, flute and bouzouki are common instruments used by the band. Amistades Peligrosas disbanded in July 1998. .
