An alternative band from Mar del Plata, Argentina. Its most known formation include Julietta in guitar and voice, Quique on bass and Marcos Moronell on drums. Rubika came into being after a chance encounter at the Manchester Victoria station of two music pilgrims from Ukraine and Belarus – Irena and Slava. After coming to Manchester to study music at Salford University Slava, a classically trained pianist from Minsk, got extremely fascinated and inspired by the music culture of the city that gave birth to Joy Division, New Order, The Smiths and Stone Roses. Being in a desperate search for a singer for his trance/house experiments, Slava saw the accidental meeting with a beautiful singer from the neighboring country as a sign of destiny.
