Willie Lindo's career in reggae music has spanned the past thirty-five years, during which he was a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer. In the mid-1970s, Lindo teamed with Beres Hammond, and together they produced a large body of high-quality work. Their first release was the album Soul Reggae (1977), on which Lindo was credited for guitar parts, arranging, production, and remixing. Kashief Lindo was born, lived, and nurtured in an environment dedicated to the creation of music. His father Willie Lindo produced and wrote some of reggaes most popular songs, for artist such as Beres Hammond, Dennis Brown, Maxi Priest to name a few. Willie took his son Kashief to the studio almost every day from his birth. Among the digital Reggae collcetor's community Hopeton Lindo is probably best known for his 1987 classic "Territory", a song that became a genuine classic and continues to be a vital weapon in any dance clash.
