Dolapdere Big Gang is a project group joining the Turkish musical instruments with the worldwide famous pop and rock tunes. The project, which was first formed in 2004 in a small bar in Taksim, carried itself today with an increasing musical quality and stage performances. Their first album "Local Strangers" is a call of 8 musicians, mainly from Dolapdere, to the world; leaning to the Turkish musical traditions. Thus, the rich and polyphonic Turkish instruments, influenced by many different cultures, prove the universality of the music by combining with the world-famous tunes. .

Slapdash was begun in 1994 as Clutter in Los Angeles. The band at the time featured Steven Graff, Brian Taylor and Steve Casa. As gigs came and went, the lineup went through many changes, eventually settling with Graff, Casa, Lee Jossel on drums, and Robert Ramos on bass. It was at this point, in 1998, that the band was asked to change their name, going with Slapdash.
