La Clave were a West-coast Latin Funk combo headed by Benny Velarde. They brought out a single self-titled album in 1973. .
The legendary group Clave y Guaguancó was founded in Havana over 50 years ago and is dedicated to researching and developing the traditions of Afro-Cuban music. With roots style singing, drumming and dancing, they'll introduce you to the universe of gods, magic and African-rooted rituals. They play Yambú, Guaguancó, Columbia, and Cuban carnival music as well as more purely African music from the Yoruba, Arará, Abakuá, Congo, or Bantú. André Claveau (December 17, 1915 - July 4, 2003) was born in Paris and was a very well known singer in France from the 1940s to 1960s. He won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958 singing "Dors mon amour" (Sleep my love) with music composed by Pierre Delanoë and lyrics by Hubert Giraud. .
