Awolnation to zespół utworzony przez Aarona Bruno w Los Angeles w 2010 roku. Po podpisaniu umowy z Red Bull Records, 18 maja 2010 r. zespół wydał pierwsze EP, Back from Earth. 13 czerwca 2010 r. ukazał się pierwszy singiel, Sail, który zadebiutował na #30 miejscu notowania U.S. Billboard Alternative Songs Chart. Debiutancki album Awolnation, Megalithic Symphony cyfrowo został wydany 15 marca 2011 r., jednak w formie CD dopiero 29 marca 2011 r. Album promują single Sail, Not Your Fault i Kill Your Heroes. Jawoll wurde 1981 von Kornelia Scholz und Matthias Kutschke an der Kasseler Kunsthochschule gegründet. Der Gitarrist Robert Foster war Engländer; daher komponierte die Band anfangs ihre Lieder noch größtenteils auf Englisch, so u.a. auch ihren späteren Erfolgstitel „Taxi“. Inspiriert von der Band Ideal entschloss sich Jawoll, nur noch auf deutsch zu komponieren. Es waren nur wenige Auftritte nötig, um von Rüssl Räckords, der Plattenfirma des Komikers Otto Waalkes, entdeckt zu werden. Seawolves is a swiss band founded in 2004 by Roman Friedrich and Sebastian Jehle. The musical influences of the Band is clearly Swedish Death Metal, mainly melodic but also some relations to Stockholm Old School Bands can be found.
