Edwin McCain urodził się w 1970 roku w Greenville w Południowej Karolinie. Jego facsynacje muzyczne w dużej mierze zdeterminowane są położeniem geograficznym okolicy, z której pochodzi. Są to przede wszystkim tradycyjny amerykański rock uzupełniony o jazzowo-soulowe naleciałości. Mimo iż wydaje płyty sygnowane tylko jego nazwiskiem, tak naprawdę pomaga mu cały zespół nazywany po prostu Edwin McCain Band, który tworzą Larry Chaney (gitara), Pete Riley (gitara, wokal), Lee Hendricks (bas), Dave Harrison (perkusja) i Craig Shields (saksofon, klawisze). Wspólnie nagrywają od ponad 15 lat. W 1998 roku udało im sie wylansować przebój "I'll Be", który dotarł na liście Billboardu do piątego...

HISTORIA: Grupa założona została w Arnhem na terenie Gelderland w Holandii przez sześciu mężczyzn zauroczonych naturą, historią i mitologią ludów germańskich. W roku 2003, nie mając jeszcze wydanego żadnego albumu, rozpoczęli występowanie na żywo. Het Gelders Volkslied, pierwszy singiel zespołu ukazał się w 2004 roku nakładem zespołu. W marcu 2005 ponownie nakładem zespołu ukazała się płyta De Strijdlust is Geboren. Dwa lata później światło dzienne ujrzał minialbum Wodan Heerst. Marzec 2008 roku zaowocował wydaniem (dzięki wytwórni Napalm Records) albumu Walhalla Wacht. Zespół, mimo kilku większych sporów między członkami i zmian w składzie, cały czas jest aktywny. Robert Edwin was born in Shizuoka, Japan at the end of 1973, and still lives there. He started piano lessons at the age of 5 but stopped playing at 9. However the exposure and training that he received during this time grew inside his mind until the age of 17, when he bought his first electric guitar. Czech Republic (2003 - present) Heiden starts up in summer 2003 as raw Pagan black metal project founded by Kverd (the driving force behind the band) and very soon became his priority.
