Epic Rap Battles of History jest projektem stworzonym przez dwóch użytkowników serwisu Youtube o nickach Nice Peter (Peter Alexis Shukoff) oraz EpicLLOYD (Lloyd Leonard Alqhist). Tworzą oni filmiki, w których dwie postacie (historyczne lub fikcyjne) mierzą się rapując. Uczestnicy są zazwyczaj ze sobą powiązani, np. Kleopatra i Marilyn Monroe jako najpiękniejsze kobiety na przestrzeni dziejów, aczkolwiek są też bohaterowie, którzy nie są ze sobą w żaden sposób powiązani, np. Czyngis-chan i Zajączek Wielkanocny.
