Sonata Arctica to fiński zespół grający power metal. Powstał w 1996 roku w Kemi. Na początku grupa nazywała się Tricky Beans. Pod tą nazwą wyprodukowali trzy dema (Friend Till the End, Agre Pamppers i PeaceMaker), dwa razy zagrali w telewizji. W 1999 roku nagrali nowe demo FullMoon, który z pomocą Tico-Tico Studio otworzył zespołowi drogę do kariery jako Sonata Arctica. Pierwszy singel UnOpened został wydany w lecie 1999 roku. Jesienią wydano pierwszy album studyjny - Ecliptica. Niedługo potem Sonata Arctica towarzyszyła jako support grupie Stratovarius na Europejskim Tournee. The Moonlighters, a 1920s & '30s jazz-themed group fronted by Bliss Blood, formed in 1998. The Moonlighters have released 4 cds on their own label, Onliest Records, and released a 5th cd on WorldSound Records on July 14, 2009, and have toured Germany four times. Current lineup of the band includes Bliss Blood on ukulele and vocals, Cindy Ball on vocals and guitar, Raphael McGregor on steel guitar, and Rus Wimbish on bass. .

In just one year since they've started, they've managed to open for JAMIROQUAI, have a national tour with RED BULL and release an album with the support of ORANGE ROMANIA. The first performance ever was opening for JAMIROQUAI on July 2nd 2011, in front of 35.000 people. First national tour was in partnership with RED BULL. The Red Bull "New In Town" Tour began in February and lasted until April 2012. They recently released their first album, "Shout", with the support of ORANGE ROMANIA.
