Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) – amerykańska grupa rockowa powstała w 1967. Reprezentowała nurty: klasycznego rocka oraz rock and roll revival. Pochodzą z El Cerrito k. San Francisco w Kalifornii. Bracia John i Tom Fogerty, Stu Cook i Doug Clifford. Wystartowali w 1959 r. jako zespół szkolny pod nazwą "The Blue Velvets" i nieoczekiwanie zdobyli lokalną popularność. Nagrali nawet kilka singli. Pierwsza wizyta w studio to akompaniament. Zaczęło się wszystko w Patola Jr. High School. John kupił gitarę, a Doug zbudował coś, co przypominało perkusję.
