O Gorillaz é uma "banda virtual" de trip rock criada no ano de 1998 pelo então líder do Blur, Damon Albarn e por Jamie Hewlett, co-criador da história em quadrinhos Tank Girl. Formada por personagens insanos, seus componentes surreais são os loucos: 2D no vocal e no teclado, Murdoc no baixo, Noodle na guitarra e Russel na bateria. De estilo variado, o Gorillaz produz músicas que vão desde o Rap, Trip-Hop, Hip-Hop, Punk, Ska, Reggae, até um pouco de Heavy Metal. Foi com "SO SAD" que os Gregorian apareceram, quase como uma resposta ao sucesso do ENIGMA. O mentor do projeto é Frank Peterson que trabalhou com Michael Cretu e com Sandra no Enigma. Depois do primeiro álbum o projeto Gregorian dedicou-se a fazer versões em canto gregoriano de músicas famosas, convidando algumas vozes conhecidas para algumas canções.

I Cantori Gregoriani are a male voice group which exclusively dedicates itself to the study and the spread of Gregorian chant. Consisting entirely of specialists, the ensemble bases its own performances on the research of semiology, that is the study of antique manuscripts dating from the Xth –X1th centuries. The performances of the group are aimed at transmitting, through the actual instruments of the semiology, the expressive force of Gregorian chant, i.e. the correct musical representation of the ancient exegetic tradition of the sacred texts.
