Liderada por Aldo Asenjo, "el Macha", também líder da banda La Floripondio, Chico Trujillo foi formada em 1999 em Villa Alemana, zona central do Chile. Tuto, Gronemeyer e Zorrita também fazem parte da La Floripondio.
