avengers in sci-fi | pt

Avengers were formed in San Francisco, in the first wave of American Punk. Penelope Houston was the lead singer, primary songwriter, and her persona was a large part of the draw for the act. The other band members were James Wilsey (bass), D. Furious (drums), and Greg Ingraham (guitar). Critic Greil Marcus once said The Avengers were, “…San Francisco’s best punk band - in their moments, they were, you knew, better than any other band playing that night anywhere in the world.” .
The Avengers VI may seem like another one of those archival rock & roll discoveries of the 1960s, endlessly fascinating to the mavens of surf music but easily overlooked by most listeners — but listeners would be doing themselves a serious disservice to overlook this particular band. Through much of 1977 they were, with The Suburban Reptiles, the only Punk bands in Auckland....
Elements of Sci-Fi was formed in 1996 by two old friends Nikita Chudjakov and Dmitri Protasevitch. The main concept of the project was to make a connection between atmosphere, ideas of science fiction and music. At about the same time the work on the second Elements Of Sci-Fi album had began. Named "Symphotrain", this CD was the third award-winner of the first Belorussian Electronic Music Awards 1997-98 (the chief of the jury, incidentally, was the famous electronic musician Christopher Franke of Tangerine Dream). In January 1999, due to personal and creative changes Dmitri Protasevitch left the band to pursue his...
