Taarma была рождена зимней ночью 1999, но мир смог оценить мрачное очарование новой формации лишь в 2003, когда на студии 'Black Dungeon' было записано первое демо. Однако первый релиз состоялся ещё позже - в 2005, когда Тёмный Император Jogezai на собственные средства выпустил демо, состоящее из одной песни.
Taarma означает Тьма на языке брахми, предке национальных языков Южной и Юго-Восточной Азии.
Группа берет свое начало в обширных горных краях Белуджистана, земле, которая никогда до этого не слышала подобных звуков.
