Clowns are a hardcore punk rock band from Melbourne Australia. The band has also toured overseas playing shows in USA, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Borneo and New Zealand. They have released a series of split 7"s through 2011-2013. In October, 2013, they released their debut full length I'm Not Right through Poison City Records. A multi-cultural pop-rap quartet in the tradition of the Spice Girls and the Backstreet Boys,1000 Clowns comprised frontman Kevi, DJ Mr. Pao, and backing vocalists (and sisters) Anita and Michelle. Clowns Smiling Backwards came into existence in early 1987 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, the World, the Universe,etc.. Formed by BO (Robert Boehm) (from the band Too Much Hair For The BBC!) and David Jetson (From the band Stone Circus). It played about 170 shows from 1987 to 1999. It has had many different line-ups playing music that blends psychedelia, experimental , industrial, electronic and twists them around pop melodies.
