The band hailing from Seattle, Washington - The Magic Magicians, is composed of duo John Atkins (of 764-HERO) and Joe Plummer (of the Black Heart Procession). The band was originally formed in 2000, employing '70 rock influences and went on to release two full albums: Girls [2001] and their eponymous record which would drop two years later. .
Although they're rather mistakenly thought of a '60s garage band due to the inclusion of their fine 1965 single, "An Invitation to Cry," on the original Nuggets compilation, the Magicians were an all-around pop/rock group that also drew from folk-rock, blues and soul.
