Múgsefjun is a 5-piece band from Iceland that plays pop/rock with a folk twist. The lineup of the band is rather unorthodox, featuring an accordion player in tandem with the more familiar combination of drums, bass and guitars. Múgsefjun was originally formed in 2004 by Hjalti Þorkelson and Björn Heiðar Jónsson, two best friends since early childhood. Everything started back in springtime 2001, when Mickey Evil decided to give life to a horror related punk/wave band inspired by the mixture of obscure rock and theatrical performances first created by Alice Cooper (better: Arthur Brown!) way back in the 70s.
