Her variety show career spanned from 1943 into the 1970s, while her singing career trailed away at the end of the 1960s. However, she was still an active actress in the 1980s. The one-man band Celebrity Pilots is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Chris Sheehan. Formerly of the indie rock band the All Golden, Sheehan started the Celebrity Pilots in late 2003. Sheehan builds upon the experimental, space rock style of his former band for a cohesive pop set. Beneath the Pavement, a Beach! was issued on Sunken Treasure in fall 2005. When Sheehan isn't fronting the Celebrity Pilots, he balances his time between touring as a keyboard player with Bob Pollard and session work with Doug Gillard. .
