Taleesa "Emanuella Gubinelli" was born on the 19th November 1971 in Santa Monica, California. Her parents had Italian origins and she received a very strict education. She studied in a religious college and learned how to sing, play piano ond violin. She started singing in a local band at the tender age of 9. Jellee took the first step towards carving his name as a solo artist in 1997, scoring a minor hit with a compilation track called When You're Hot, You're Hot. His name broke for real in 2002, when Money, Pt. 1, the lead single from his debut solo banger, Rex Entertainment/Warner Records' Jelleestone Thirteen, climbed to the top of Billboard's Hot 100 chart. Having seen every quality club in Belgium at age 17 and working at trend setting clubs Make-Up and Culture Club, Leesa caught the deejay microbe and developed a sharp sense for the better electronic music. Prancing between minimal and tech house, her aim is to bring quality tunes to appreciative crowds. Only a few months in, she won the vi.be DJ contest, winning her a spot opening for Monica Electronica at Nijdrop and the Café d’Anvers Freevibes contest. The Badlees are from Selinsgrove, PA. They had a few hits on the radio over the years, a couple of which ended up in rotation on VH-1. Their style is roots rock with heavy Appalachian influences.
