Sigma Octantis is an industrial trio from France, formed at the beginning of 2000s. Debuted in 2007 with the album "Invocations", followed by "Dislocations" in 2009; both albums were released on the French Divine Comedy Records. Their last album, "Disséminations", was released in 2009 on OPN. Both ethnic and ambient, sometimes low and harsh or even psychedelic, Sigma Octantis's music is always melancholic and quite strange. This enigmatic act may appeal to Divine Comedy's addicts into Lambwool or Othila, or even Foundation Hope; but Sigma Octantis can be more menacingto our ears. Insigma 'Insigma'/'Evolution'/'Open Our Eyes' Steve Helstrip & Andy Perring's Insigma outfit certainly had innocent begginings. When Steve sent Andy a 3 minute short of a track he'd been working on Andy rejigged it into a fully functioning 12" mix.
