The Animals | en

The Animals were a British rock band of the 1960s, formed in Newcastle. They were part of the British Invasion, being one of the most popular bands of their era. Known for their gritty, raw, bluesy sound and hard-voiced frontman Eric Burdon, as exemplified by their signature songs House of the Rising Sun and Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, the band underwent numerous personnel changes, while influencing the later heavy metal music with the riffs of their rock songs such as We Gotta Get Out Of This Place and It's my Life. They emerged as an exponent of psychedelic music...
Animals as Leaders is a Washington, D.C. based instrumental progressive metal project formed by guitarist Tosin Abasi in 2007. Their self-titled debut album was released in April 2009 by Prosthetic Records. Animals as Leaders was formed "out of the ashes" of guitarist Tosin Abasi's previous band, Reflux. The heavy metal record label Prosthetic Records saw Abasi's guitar work and asked him to create a solo album for them. Abasi initially declined, feeling such an endeavor would be "egotistical and unnecessary". When Reflux disbanded, Abasi decided to take the label's offer. The name Animals as Leaders was inspired by Daniel Quinn's...
Oxfordshire quartet Glass Animals are Dave Bayley, Drew MacFarlane, Edmund Irwin-Singer and Joe Seaward. They grew up together from the age of thirteen and started working together when Dave showed Drew some tracks. They self-released a 5 track demo in 2012 which form the basis of the 'Leaflings EP', released via Kaya Kaya Records. It included 'Cocoa Hooves', 'Golden Antlers' and 'Exxus', later included on the 'Black Mambo / Exxus EP'. Having left the confines of their creative hub in the woodlands of Oxfordshire (referred to as The Shed), the band took up residence at Paul Epworth’s London studio in...
A Seattle, Washington based electronic music duo composed of Dylan Fleck and Atomic Sita. Long-time friends, in 2008 they found themselves immersed in the Seattle-area chiptune scene with the means and the desire to create music of their own that everyone, and not just, nerds, would want to listen to. Their music is a chiptune-fusion style, often funk-influenced, generally incorporating elements of house and other electronic music for a modern-retro dance sound. They record and perform largely using vintage video game systems, primarily Nintendo's original "NES" and previously the classic Game Boy, as well as the computer-based music production program...
Biography: We met at Chapel Hill High School when we were in the 9th grade. We were both in the barbershop quartet Acafellas. Since then we have played together in bands like Rubberhose, There Is No M Card, and Greenhouse Graveyard. All these bands featured Josh Zaslow, guitar mentor and spiritual warrior. Extreme Animals is our new project. Check it out! .
