The Amphetameanies are a nine-piece ska band from Glasgow, Scotland. The Meanie Geanies are a female garage punk band. They were formed back in 1997. A bunch of girls who were friends decided to form an all-girl band playing the music they loved, 60s garage punk and beat. They were named after the real cool song “Meanie Genie” (Tony Brook & The Breakers). Blue Meanies were an American ska-core band founded in Carbondale, Illinois, at Southern Illinois University, in 1989. They debuted in 1991 with the release of their first single, "Grandma Shampoo" c/w "Dickory Dock". This single would be the start of a lengthy discography and revolving lineup. The Meanies got together in Melbourne, Australia in 1989 and immediately made a name for themselves with a succession of sold out 7" singles on the Augogo label. They continued the relationship with Augogo (home to Australian groups like Magic Dirt, Scientists and Spiderbait) with the EP "Gangrenous" and the album Come 'n' See in 1991.
